Lumsden McCormick Partner Robert Torella, CPA Named to 40 Under 40

Lumsden & McCormick, LLP is excited to announce that Robert Torella, CPA, has been named to the Buffalo Business First 40 Under 40 Class of 2025.

Bob’s extensive experience in the auditing and accounting of exempt organizations, including educational institutions, arts and entertainment organizations, and other nonprofit organizations led to his promotion to partner in 2024. He also has experience in grant compliance, audits in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and Uniform Guidance, exempt organization taxation, and financial reporting. As a member of the Firm’s Accounting and Auditing Technical Committee and the chairperson of the Financial Accounting Standards Board subcommittee, Bob serves as an integral Firm leader.

Bob serves as the Treasurer for Cradle Beach, an inclusive summer camp for children with disabilities that prioritizes skill-building, friendship, and nature. He is also a Board member of Parachute Credit Counseling and has completed Board leadership training with United Way of Buffalo and Erie County.

The 2025 Class of 40 Under 40 will be celebrated at the 34th annual 40 Under 40 luncheon on November 20, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo Hotel and Conference Center.

40 Under 40 is awarded to talented professionals who have distinguished themselves in their fields and industries before their 40th birthday. This year, winners were chosen from almost 300 nominations, the most that Buffalo Business First has seen in more than a decade. These business owners, executives, and industry pioneers are the rising business leaders of the region.
