Lumsden McCormick Managing Partner Named to Forbes Top 200 Accountants

Lumsden & McCormick, LLP is excited to announce that Sara Dayton, CPA has been named to Forbes’ 2025 America’s Top 200 CPAs. 

This is the second-annual list released by Forbes, which selected CPAs across the country who have distinguished themselves at their firms, advanced the accounting profession, and have been active in their communities. According to Forbes, however, the ultimate selection criteria came down to one element – trust.

As the managing partner of Lumsden McCormick, Sara oversees the Firm’s future vision and strategy. She oversees Firm management and profitability and monitors developments in the accounting industry and business environment to determine if changes are relevant to the Firm and its market leadership position. Prior to being named as managing partner, Sara served as the leader of the Firm’s audit & assurance department and worked primarily with school districts and local governments.

Sara currently serves as the Vice-Chairperson of the Erie County SPCA and as the Treasurer for the Buffalo-Erie Marathon Association. This year, she has also been honored as a Power 250 honoree and a Power 200 Woman by Buffalo Business First.
