Most everyone that knows John knows that he has a passion for cars. He did his first complete restoration over eight months in 1998 and 1999. In 2010, side-by-side with his son, they began what was intended to be a cosmetic restoration of a Datsun 280z. The deeper they looked, though, the more work was necessary, and nine months later they finished a complete restoration of the car. In 2011, John found the car that he hungered for as a seven-year-old, a 1967 Mercury Cougar, in Tucson, Arizona. He had it shipped to Lockport, and in May of that year, he tore the entire car apart. It has been quite the journey, as he is still working on it. His plan is to have the car on the road for the summer of 2019. Work and life take precedence, but it is coming along. When John is not restoring cars, he is at auctions like Mecum, Barrett-Jackson, and Goodings. He meets a lot of neat people as he travels across the country. Car people are passionate about the hobby.
