With more than twenty-five years of experience, Doug provides business valuation, forensic accounting, litigation support, and financial advisory services for Brisbane Consulting Group. He has served as an expert witness, testifying in courts of law throughout the state of New York, as well as consulting with publicly traded entities and valuing a variety of closely held companies in connection with mergers, acquisition and divestitures, business combinations, estate and gift tax planning, ESOPs and purchase price allocations. Doug also has experience structuring investment portfolios and financial plans for individuals and retirement accounts.
Doug joined the Firm in 2005 after spending 16 years with another CPA firm. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and a good-standing member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a licensed financial advisor having passed Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. In addition he is accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA). He graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo earning his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.
Doug is currently on the board of trustees of the Chesterton Academy of Buffalo and serves on the finance committee. He is past chairman of the board for Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled and past treasurer of the Girl Scout Council of WNY.
