Donna M. Gonser, CPA
As director of our auditing and accounting services, Donna provides a wealth of knowledge in auditing, taxation and other key areas to assist nonprofit organizations, governmental entities and businesses achieve their short-term and long-term goals. She enjoys working closely with clients to evaluate their capacity and performance, then helps them use this information to run their organizations more efficiently and effectively. Beyond her technical skills, Donna is proud to provide exceptional service on a consistent basis, and build on the Firm’s well-earned reputation for excellence.
Her primary client responsibility is management and oversight of services provided to exempt organizations and professional service corporations. She has specific expertise with charitable organizations, foundations, governmental agencies, public authorities and educational institutions including colleges and universities and private and charter schools. She also has significant experience providing services to law firms, other professional services firms and commercial businesses.
Shortly after earning her degree from the University at Buffalo, Donna began her career with Lumsden McCormick and was named to the partnership in 2000. Her professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Government Finance Officers’ Association. Donna also volunteers her time with a variety of civic and charitable organizations. Donna is very active with staff and oversees several marketing initiatives as well as being the partner member of our Accountants Making A Difference (MAD) community outreach committee.
