How should I structure my new business? Corps, LLC, LLP, what’s the difference and where does your business belong? Joel Marsh, CPA and Mark Stack, CPA will be joined by attorneys from Lippes, Mathias, Wexler, Friedman to explain the different types of entities recognized by the IRS, discuss which structure is best for your company, and consider if you might need a change.
Joel is a member of our tax and forensic accounting departments serving commercial businesses, individuals and workers’ compensation self-insurance trust funds. He has been with the Firm since 2008 beginning as a tax intern, following which he joined our tax team permanently. Joel earned his CPA license in 2011 and was promoted to senior accountant that same year. In 2015 Joel was promoted to manager.
Mark is responsible for tax compliance services to businesses and individuals. He is a graduate of St. John Fisher College earning a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. An active volunteer while in college, Mark participated in Students With A Vision as treasurer and as a fundraiser forProject Community Convergence. Mark also spends time at the BNMC’s Innovation Center, giving free advice to startups and entrepreneurs.

BNMC is excited to announce their Spring 2017 Build a Better Business Series in LEARN at the Innovation Center! The program is made up of seminars and workshops designed to provide entrepreneurs and startup business teams with the education and guidance they need to successfully design, launch, and grow their new companies. All sessions are free and open to the community. Registration is required.
